A mix elevates a multi-track recording to an aesthetic form of its own by artistically controlling the dynamic, panoramic, spectral, effective, and many other properties of each track to create a sense of cohesion. Mixing is the most demanding stage of post-production.
At Garsų menė, we have mixed hundreds of multi-track projects that stand out both stylistically and technologically.
The process of mixing involves such tasks as track editing, correction, dynamic and panoramic distribution, processing (equalization, filtering, modulation, reverberation, or distortion), and much more. The fastest and most efficient way to proceed is by providing us with sound examples of what you like to give us an idea of the stylistic direction you would like us to take. Drop us an email specifying the genre, size of the project in track count, and the term by which the mix should be complete, and we will get back to you with a proposal.
A complex mix may require a lot of work and, hence, a considerable budget. To reduce the cost of the service, you may order us to mix the stems (i.e., the groups or buses) of the multi-track project instead of the branches (i.e., the tracks). For instance, if the project contains 64 tracks summed in 8 groups of 8 tracks, you may order us to mix just the 8 stems. This would cut the cost of mixing by eight times. Stem mixing is a great way to save money while not compromising on the quality of the record!
